The Hawk Watch is staffed daily from 8 AM to 4 PM beginning August 1.  The GCBO is always in need of volunteer hawk counters! Contact Susan Heath at (979) 480-0999 to volunteer.

The lists for birding is diverse with birders not only counting for the GCBO research, but gaining “lifers” after a visit to the Observation Tower. The Abshier WMA is on the point overlooking Galveston Bay.
